In this interview Yusuf Islam explains his thoughts about Islam, islamic arts, and of course how and why he converted to Islam. You can listen and watch also some samples of his songs, it is interesting to compare his interpretation "Peace Train" in 1976 and in 2003. He describes himself as "a seeking artist" and his songs as "songs of searching".
